Bramblings and one Hawfinch at the Andrew Lake Rec Center), we returned to the house to get lunch before heading to the airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No sooner had we walked in the door (and re-established wi-fi) did we get a message that a Common Rosefinch was at the Blue Building Feeder!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We raced up there and. after about 20 minutes, in it flew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure And # 170 for my Adak List!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And a lifer for everyone else who was there today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not only that, but about an hour later, another one showed up at the Seal Drive Feeder!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I believe these would constitute the 4th and 5th records for Adak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There had been great southwesterly winds yesterday. Who knows what other goodies were deposited on the island. Unfortunately, all of the birders were leaving today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What a way to end the trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was a so-so trip up until today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But with today&#8217;s find it was great.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One lifer (Common Rosefinch) and two semi-lifers (drake Garganey and white Ruff).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some of the birds seen by others during my stay, but not by me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tundra Bean Goose<br>Common Redpoll<br>Least Sandpiper<br>Lesser Yellowlegs<br>Yellow-billed Loon<br>Long-tailed Jaeger<br>Pomarine Jaeger<br>Long-tailed Duck<br>Greater White-fronted Goose<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Trip List is 74.
