{"id":1905,"date":"2022-05-26T00:59:11","date_gmt":"2022-05-26T04:59:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/franklinhaas.com\/wordpress\/?p=1905"},"modified":"2023-08-24T11:53:55","modified_gmt":"2023-08-24T15:53:55","slug":"wednesday-may-25-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/franklinhaas.com\/wordpress\/wednesday-may-25-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Wednesday, May 25, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Temp 51!!!, partly sunny, Wind East 5-10 mph increasing in the PM<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the good past two days, today was rather slow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I decided to make the hike (1.3 miles each way) for the Tufted Duck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>About 100 yards into the walk, four peeps flushed from the creek and flew over to the Airport Ditch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I abandoned the duck hunt and headed over to the Ditch. No luck. Whatever they were had moved on by the time I got there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As I was searching for those birds, I received a call that there was a pair of Kittlitz&#8217;s Murrelets just off Bayshore Drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So I headed over there. AHA! The Tufted Duck! I took some quick photos as it flew away. When I got back to the house this evening and studied the photos, it was just another Greater Scaup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oh well&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Clam Lagoon, I finally saw the Bar-tailed Godwit that had been reported the last week or so.
